Ever since Marta Laria, the owner and president of the company, arrived to this country, she made herself the pioneer along with her husband to what it is now known as MC Drafting Services. Her experience and knowledge as Architect has been polished since graduation in Cuba and has been practiced in many countries such as Cuba, Colombia and the United States. Her husband on the other hand, a graduated engineer from Cuba, too, possesses a great knowledge that accompanied his wife trough out the way. Their journey in this last country started back in 2001 as drafters. However, their needs for success lead to a hard period of discipline and dedication in which she educated herself in the building code and regulations set for the city and county of Los Angeles. By the year 2004, when MC Drafting Services was finally established, Marta, her husband, her two sisters, her nephew and two more employees, had been trained in the architectural and drafting field and had worked with great effort for the many homeowners within the Los Angeles city and its surrounding areas.

As of today, MC Drafting Services has produced successful plans for a great number of clients who were seeking for advice and ideas for their home remodeling, new home designs and commercial projects.

Personnel

Yurien
Resolves most of the paperwork related to the permit issuance by the different city hall departments. In addition, she cleans up the red marked plans by plan checkers and engineers when the plans need to be resubmitted for final approval.

Luis Mauricio
Details and modifies the preliminary plans for projects that need to comply with a specific design committee. Furthermore, he completes the structural plans of projects designed per Type V standards.

Marta
The most experienced in the architectural field and therefore, the job Capitan. She is responsible for the major residential and commercial projects and simultaneously revises all of the other projects to keep high standards in the work produced in the office.

Jose Luis
Public relations. The active one, always running around signing contracts and visiting job sites to ensure that the approved plans are fully comprehended by the contractors and building personnel. He is also the one in charge to keep track of all the projects status and answer the most frequent questions from clients.

Niurka
Takes precise measurements from developing properties so that the margin of errors becomes minimum or null. She also completes most of the preliminary sketches and defines new floor plans along with clients. In addition, she is the one in charge of the work distribution among employees and organizes the financial status of the office.

Sandy
Great talented young man responsible for the fine completion of energy calculations and the reproductions of the structural layouts and specifications suggested by the engineers.

Jeanette
Administration Department. She handles all communications, office agenda, contracts, fee schedules and the like. She is also responsible for maintaining the office well organized and equipped with all of the supplies that an architectural office could need. Finally, she maintains record of the cost of production for each project making it easier for clients to understand what they are truly paying for.
